• old emulators

    so i have a summer 2000 iMac G3 indigo 350mhz that i use to post here
    running Mac OS 9.0.4 its a time capsule of the year 2000 so i use SNES9X
    1.2.9 iNES and so on one thing to note is that Mario Kart doesnt play nicely however F-Zero does play nicely as does Double Dragon V and Donkey Kong
    Country does anybody else use older versions of emulators or just old
    emulators in general?

    Hi. I'm using a mac mini g4, running macos 9 and morphos. Yes, I do use it for that purpose. I also use the occasional emulator, but for genesis or master system games, and for nes games depending on the title, I use emulators like ines, rocknes, and quicknes. If it doesn't work on one, try another.

    Funny you say that, i'm actually using Connectix Virtual Game Station on an
    old Pentium 4 machine lying around and got sucked into playing through
    almost all of Final Fantasy VI.

    Ah yes the first game in that series I ever attempted to play wayyy back in 2014 never beat it though played it through a flash emulation site called
    GBA Online if I remember correctly

    Running snes 9x on a blue imac was a very vivid memory of my childhood. Specifically the snes port of sim city, and megaman x. Nowadays the oldest machine I have is a pentium m laptop, handles emulation pretty well with the last version of retroarch Windows XP could run.
