I guess in the end I find it hard to swallow that something I once loved, is now a straightjack of control and surveillance.
I must agree with your statements.
It is frustrating, I agree. I wish somebody would come up with a spin off of the Internet.
I think there might be at least a partial solution right in front of us. That'd be to limit, or stop, our use of sites like social media that offer more chances for surveillance by default, and revert back to some of the simpler uses of Internet tech that originally drew us to it.
