First Loves

One of the most important factors that make us who we are is how we moved forward from our first love. Not the love you have for parents or family, I mean our first love outside of our family. That laid the foundation of all our future relationships. My first was a make believe marriage with never a make believe divorce. We both still carry that love with us. I am thankful to be able to stay attached to that kind of pure, truthful, and untainted love. You are a blessing, Marlana. I do, still, love you.
The sea speaks to this simple foundation at my core. It forces me to acknowledge the simplest and most basic of life's motivations. From around the bend, outside the cove, the sounds of the crashing waves remind us of the fury and strength of the ocean we look over, yet, the calmness of this sheltered inlet inspires us to retain our love, even for that which could destroy us. This is the greatest risk, for laying our love before us could wound us deeply, yet, also, bring us to unending bliss. Fear not to run that risk. More often than not, you will win the reward you seek.
Memories . Love . Faith
Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love Truly. Laugh uncontrollably. Never regret anything that makes you smile.
As time keeps moving on, carrying us all along in its slipstream, I find that I often seem to be at the whim of chaos in these posts. I aim to keep them inspirational, highlighting our close relationship with our world. Yet, just as most of us do, I get wrapped up in memories as I ponder, and my ramblings turn into tributes to those who have made strong impacts on my life. No apologies for that is who I am. I just hope I don't boor you all with my inconsistencies.
